Jim and Doris Craddock founded Scope Ministries International in 1973 as a means to meet hurting people's needs and difficult life questions with the practical application of biblical truth. Twenty years before Scope's founding, Jim returned from duty in the U.S. army a new Christian. He was intensively discipled by The Navigators, with an emphasis on the sufficiency of scripture in daily living.
Jim served 15 years with Campus Crusade for Christ, ministering to college students. As he met with students during those years he found himself faced with difficult, real-life questions and problems. In meeting the challenge to find solutions in scripture, he discovered the foundational truths of the Biblical Personal Guidance ministry he would one day establish. Scope's foundational Biblical Training course,
Pneumanetics, meaning Spirit-led, is the basis for all Biblical Training and Personal Guidance Ministry (Discipleship).
Jim and Doris Craddock continue serving Scope in the area of Biblical Personal Guidance Ministry and teaching these life transforming truths. As a result of the effectiveness of its model of helping people, Scope is established in the Oklahoma City community and beyond as a reputable resource for effective personal guidance ministry, discipleship, crisis response and training in helping others.
Scope's presence after 9/11 World Trade Center disaster continued for over nine months after the tragedy.
Joining with Billy Graham Rapid Response and Recovery Team in disasters such as Florida and New Orleans Hurricanes, California Wildfires bringing Christ's presence and comfort has become a vital ministry of Scope. Scope has had ministry partnerships or cooperative activities with the
