Jim and Doris Craddock founded Scope Ministries International in 1973 as a means to meet hurting people's needs and difficult life questions with the practical application of biblical truth. Through years of helping believers and applying His Word, Scope has discovered foundational truths which have come to be known as: Pneumanetics, (meaning Spirit-led). Pneumanetics is the basis for all of Scope's Biblical Training, Personal Guidance Ministry (Discipleship), and for the Be Transformed Bible Study. Be Transformed was developed by Scope staff under the direction of Renee Burnette and has helped encourage individuals with a more intimate walk with God.
Scope has had ministry partnerships or cooperative activities with the
following organizations: Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Campus
Crusade for Christ, Samaritan's Purse, Institute for Biblical
Counseling,
Salvation Army, Brooklyn Tabernacle and its sister churches / Hindustan
Bible Institute, India; Campus Crusade for Christ, East Asia and India;
Regency Ministries, Peru; CEF missionaries in Belgium / Arise
Ministries,
Living Well, prison chaplains and other small local ministries.
Scope's presence after 9/11 World Trade Center disaster continued for over nine months after the tragedy.
Joining with Billy Graham Rapid Response and Recovery Team in disasters such as Florida and New Orleans Hurricanes, California Wildfires bringing Christ's presence and comfort has become a vital ministry of Scope.
