Transforming Lives, Transforming Lives

PRISON MINISTRY
Our desire is to come along side the Chaplains and lay ministers to help lighten their workload while allowing them to minister to greater numbers. We have found that a person can accept Christ as their Savior, but have difficulty walking out Jesus as Lord due to lack of discipleship.

Scope has developed a Prison Ministry booklet, which has proven to be a valuable tool to help in dealing with problem areas that may be stumbling blocks to the abundant life. This material centers on the most fundamental element of our faith, such as:

Beliefs- Examining what we believe about God, ourselves and others, and how this affects our behavior.
Emotions- Examining how our emotions become out of control and controlling.
God's Perspective- Learning to see ourselves from God's viewpoint.
Performance Treadmill- Learning the ways we try to gain acceptance apart from God.

Teaching godly principles offered in the Prison Ministry booklet can be greatly enhanced by training in Scope’s Pneumanetics course, on-site or correspondence, or through our Be Transformed classes.

We have had the opportunity to step into several prisons to teach Be Transformed and have witnessed the miracle of God transforming lives. This transformation touches a life, a family, a community, a society, a nation, and finally the world.

In 2002, we had the opportunity to teach at Diamond Correctional Facility in Watonga, Oklahoma. The impact was so great that the faith pod within the prison has incorporated Be Transformed in their discipleship program. Opportunities in May 2004 included training offered at Davis Correctional Facility in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Most recently, Chaplain Dick of the Oklahoma Jail and Prison Ministries, has asked us teach to eighty of his lay ministers.

The potential for discipleship in prisons through the Be Transformed prison ministry packet is limitless.  We would be pleased to answer any questions you may have regarding use of this valuable tool as well as any available training. Should you have a heart for financially supporting this great field of ministry opportunity, please mark donations to prison ministry. Please contact us at Scope Ministries International 405.843.7778 x28 to discuss further opportunities in the Prison Ministry area.
