PNEUMANETICS:
This is our model of Biblical counseling. Topics include:
Sufficiency of Scripture, Nature of Man, New Identity in
Christ, Belief Systems, Renewing the Mind, Emotions,
Father/God Concept, Absent Father Syndrome, Torah Syndrome,
and Spiritual Warfare. This class is a
prerequisite for all
other classes at Scope and it may be taken
by
correspondence.
CHARACTER AND
SKILLS OF A COUNSELOR:
A two-semester study of the character that is crucial for a
Biblical counselor and the basic skills that are necessary
for the counseling process.
OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY:
A survey of the Old Testament with emphasis on the
application of Scripture to counseling issues.

NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY:
A survey of the New Testament with emphasis on the
application of Scripture to counseling issues.
BIBLE STUDY METHODS:
The basic principles of Biblical interpretation to enable
the student to accurately interpret Scripture and apply it
to life situations.
SMALL GROUP FACILITATING:
This class offers training for those involved in the
facilitating of small groups, such as those used for
Discovery Groups at Scope Ministries.

EVANGELISM AND
DISCIPLESHIP:
Instruction in the skills of evangelism and discipleship
and how these apply to the counseling process.
MANAGING YOUR MONEY:
This class teaches what the Scriptures say about money,
what our finances say about our relationship with God, and
gives some practical tools for budgeting and goal-setting.
MARRIAGE COUNSELING:
The basics of Biblical marriage counseling including the
Biblical foundation, roles, resources, and case studies.

FORGIVENESS:
This class will address questions such as: What obstacles
hinder Christians and keep them from receiving the
forgiveness of God? How does unforgiveness affect our
relationships with friends and family?
COUNSELING HOMOSEXUALITY:
This class will deal with issues such as the truth about
God and those who are in the midst of the homosexual
lifestyle, and how do you love the sinner and not the sin?
CHRISTIANS AND
SUFFERING:
Questions that will be addressed in this class include; Is
there a way to avoid suffering? Am I doing something wrong?
What or who is behind the suffering of a Christian? How do
I make it through tough times? How do I minister to someone
who is going through suffering?

GRACE:
The purpose of this class is to see each and everyone who
takes it transformed by the power of the
"grace-experience". No Christian can live a
consistent, victorious life, and no preacher can ever
minister in power without it.
APPLYING THE
FUNNEL CHART:
This class explores the depths of
the funnel chart to understand why a person is thinking
and behaving in a way that they do not like. Discover
the many facets of who God truly is and who He made us
to be.
CRISIS RESPONSE OF
THE CHRISTIAN:
Crisis occurs in all our live. Learn how to respond to
someone who has experienced a death in the family, job
loss, natural disaster or terrorist act? This class
equips you to respond effectively to others’ physical,
mental, emotional and spiritual needs.

CPREP:
CHRISTIAN PREVENTION AND
RELATIONSHIP PROGRAM:
This seminar was designed to teach couples communication
and problem solving skills found to be linked to
effective marital functioning. Research has shed light
not only on the greatest risk factors for married
failure, but also on the most promising avenues to help
couples build and maintain great marriages. This seminar
teaches couple how to avoid pitfalls, and helps them
learn to deepen and maintain love for a lifetime.
