A lie is a terrible foe, a vicious enemy. Wrap the lie in religious trappings and it becomes virtually indestructible. Building a religion grounded upon a lie is the highest art of Satan’s deceptive practices, and produces fanatics of the worst sort. The most powerful bomb in America’s arsenal of destruction cannot eradicate a lie; it will only spread it further. Incredibly, a lie has no power until someone believes it to be true. This, of course, is the whole purpose of a lie, for a lie accepted as truth impacts a person’s life as truth even though it is a lie. A lie converts a person just as surely as the truth, but it is a conversion that forces the one accepting the lie to take on the characteristics of the lie, changing the lie into a living thing. A lie can stand against almost anything except – the truth! Truth can destroy a lie in a heartbeat. America has unleashed her mightiest weapons against a foe it cannot see, a foe it cannot hear, a foe it cannot destroy – a foe that cannot be destroyed by human means or might. A foe that can only be vanquished by the truth. But America’s greatest weapon, one more powerful than the most powerful Hydrogen Bomb, one that could obliterate the forces arrayed against America, remains as an embarrassing stepchild - one that our leaders have hidden behind a veil of appeasement – the church! The most appealing power on earth, the power of an incarnate Love is ignored. Yet, America was born on the wings of truth – the Founding Fathers recognized living reality of truth in Christ – it has been the impact of Christianity upon the Western World that has made it so great. Incredibly though, the last forty years has seen an unprecedented attack upon the truth, not from outside forces, but from the inside, from the humanists, the liberals, the ACLU! They would destroy the one weapon, the only weapon that can destroy and eradicate a lie – the truth. Have you ever asked yourself why Christianity is forbidden throughout the Islam world? I will tell you why. They are desperately terrified of the truth. Confronted with the truth of Christ, Islam begins to crumble – as the light of truth falls upon the darkness of the lie, the people of the lie are changed, transformed by the power of God. Hate is turned into love. If it hasn’t dawned on you by now, it will. America has just committed itself to a religious war – a war of the worst kind. We can only pray and hope that the tragedies occurring will waken the church as never before – a revival of God’s men and women to move with prayer and deed to overcome the forces of the evil one.
