Three Parts of Satan’s Battle Plan:
Part ONE - Satan’s Motive
| a.
Satan comes to steal, and kill and destroy.
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. . .” (John 10:10)
| b.
Satan is a person. He plots and schemes against us, and he is the god of this world. He is a tempter, accuser, and deceiver.
| c.
It is only through Christ’s presence in our hearts and the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives that we can be victorious over Satan.
Part TWO - Satan’s Means
| a.
Satan is a creature, limited in space and time, therefore he uses demons.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Eph. 6:12)
| b.
Satan’s primary tactic is deception. He is the father of lies.
Part THREE - Satan’s Opportunity
| a.
Sin - walking in the flesh. Satan uses temptation to draw from us a fleshly response. The result of a fleshly responses are sinful deeds of the flesh such as immorality, impurity, and sensuality.
“But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissentions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Gal. 5:18-21)
The Biblical solution is confession. The definition of confession is to agree with God about your actions and attitudes. Repentance is a part of all sincere confession.
| b.
The world system - the elements of the world system include ideas, philosophies, government, lifestyles, as well as others. The Biblical solution is nonconformity by renewing the mind.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God id, that which is good and acceptable, and perfect.” (Ro. 12:2)
| c.
Demonizing
The definition of a person being demonized is when a demon gains entry and control of part of a person’s life through witchcraft, habitual sin, or false doctrines and beliefs. The Biblical solution is to resist the devil based on the finished work of Christ.
“Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
(James 4:7)
In all three of Satan’s opportunities, our protection is due to Christ’s strength and power, not ours.

This teaching is a summary of lesson ten of Pneumanetics. Pneumanetics is a philosophy or model on which we base our biblical counseling. It is a course to train Christians in ministering to others.
This teaching is also included in lesson four, “Getting to Know Your Heavenly Father” in our workbook
“Be Transformed”.
